Dan Friedman, ASA, ABV, CPA
Mr. Friedman is a graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. Mr. Friedman also holds an MBA degree from the University of Houston. Further, he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV) from the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers. Mr. Friedman recently has been appointed to the AICPA's ABV credential committee. Mr. Friedman began his career at the public accounting firm, Kenneth Leventhal & Company where he participated in auditing assignments as well as due diligence assignments for the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC).
In 1992, Mr. Friedman joined Bank United, a Houston based federal savings bank. At Bank United, his duties included budgeting, forecasting, financial and management reporting, and interest margin analysis. Additionally, Mr. Friedman developed a branch profitability model while at the bank.
In early 1998, Mr. Friedman joined De Bellas & Co., a Houston based investment banking firm. While at the firm, he participated in numerous merger and acquisition, consulting and valuation engagements involving both publicly and privately held companies. In addition, Mr. Friedman implemented and managed the firm's Financial Analysis and Research Department during his tenure.
In the fall of 2000, Mr. Friedman joined J. B. Poindexter & Co. as Director of Business Development and was responsible for sourcing and evaluating acquisition opportunities for this $450 million manufacturing conglomerate. Mr. Friedman joined Davis/Chambers & Company, Ltd. in mid 2001 to work in the firm's newly formed investment-banking group. After moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2003 to manage the consulting practice of a local CPA firm, he returned to Davis/Chambers & Company in early 2006 to participate in business valuation, merger and acquisition, and litigation support projects.
